YOUR TREE

Everyone in the world has their own family tree. Although your brothers and sisters are on your tree now, once they marry and have children, they will start a separate family tree. Your parents will still be the COMMON ANCESTORS of all their descendants.

You are RELATED to your brothers and sisters and their descendants as you are to the brothers and sisters of all the people in the branches of your tree - who are your direct ancestors.

1) Start here and put YOUR full name - this is your 'Family Tree'.
Ancestors of.........or
Family Tree of..............

2) Put your FATHER'S name in the left block and your MOTHER'S
name in the right block and their birth dates.

3) Fill in your name and those of your sisters and brothers on one side, leaving the other open for your partner of the future and the extensions below for your children and grandchildren - who will be very pleased to have the information one day.

For example:

 ____John (marries)___Mary_ ___Tom (m) __Rita___

4) Then go up to the left and fill in your GRANDPARENTS names on your father's side on the left and your mother's side on the
right.

5) Your parents grandparents come next - your GREAT
GRANDPARENTS - you have four great grandmothers and four
great grandfathers.

6) When you get to your GREAT GREAT GRANDPARENTS the
branches of your tree become really crowded (16 people)
It gets more difficult - but if you are lucky to have relatives
to help you, you can extend your ANCESTORS even further up
the tree.

7) You could put a photograph of your father in the big square on the left and one of your mother on the right.
