This is the first call for participation in "Agenda 21 NOW!".
We would like to invite you and students all over the world to participate in
the third edition of an extensive international Internet conference.
Agenda 21 NOW! takes place on Thursday, April 25th, from 00:00 to 24:00 hours
World Time (U.T.C.).
Agenda 21 NOW! has been designed for students and groups of students (e.g.
courses at school) aged 14+ from all over the world. Last time, on March 22nd,
2001, we had more than 1,200 participants from nearly 50 countries in all
continents.

This is not a joke, unfortunately. During the last twenty years the world's
temperature has been increasing, slowly but notably, in nearly every corner of
our earth, be it in New York City or on some atoll in the Pacific being
surrounded by many thousand miles of ocean water.
There are a lot of reasons for this.
And there are a lot of things to do about this.
Are there any things YOU can do?
Let's discuss this at Agenda 21 NOW!
We're ten years after the Agenda 21 was adopted by no less than 179
countries. What has happened since then? Has the Agenda 21 been implemented
where you live? What will be there for the coming generations? Have you ever
heard of sustainability? Sustainability??? What does that mean to you, to me, to
us? Nothing? No problem? Big problem? Can we do things sustainably? No? Yes? If
yes, why not?
Log in and talk about this to other students from all over the world.
When?
On April 25th, 2002, from 00:00 to 24:00 h World Time (U.T.C.). If you live
far away from the Greenwich meridian, you can check what this is in your local
time on our homepage.
What do you need for participation in Agenda 21 NOW! ?
You need a computer with access to the internet. At school, at home, wherever
you are. And some time on April 25th when the conference is running. Last but
not least two minutes for registration prior to the conference on our homepage.
