Based on communications with the relevant authorities at Punjab University in Pakistan, the plagiarism case against the authors of the article which appeared here has now been concluded successfully. The article was thus removed by the editor on October 22 2008. Science in Africa magazine does not condone nor support plagiarism and continues to endeavour to assist where necessary in upholding intellectual property rights.
